Dear Parents and Adults,
Troop 1020 is blessed to have the First United Methodist Church of Rowlett as our charter organization. Their provision of the Scout House is a great place for all the scouting activities of the troop, pack, and crew!
However, it is up to the scouting organizations to maintain the house and grounds, which is where we need adult volunteers to help mow and weed-eat the scout house grounds.
Mowing is done on a weekly basis during the growing season. We have a rotating schedule of mowers, so the MORE THE BETTER! We have a riding mower and push mower, but they don't work themselves.
We have begun organizing volunteers to mow and weed-eat the scout house property every week during the growing season.
Several of you have attended mower orientation at our weekly meeting and we appreciate you all signing up! Now then, please reply to this e-mail with your phone number for the roster (this will not be posted or made public).
If you are an adult (18 years or older), and are looking for a way to pitch in, we could really use you! Please reply with your information then come to the scout house at 8:00 PM during the weekly Monday meetings for mowing orientation by Mr. Hummel or Mr. Huff.
We are posting the schedule on our web site under Get Involved. This is a new area of our web site (still under construction) with information on how we can all contribute to the scouting experience.

Thanks again for everyone's time and attention. Have a great day and contact me with any questions!
With Scouting Spirit,
