This email is for High School Seniors, juniors and sophomores.  

 

Future Engineers

Dougherty Sprague Environmental belongs to the Society of American
Military Engineers (SAME) Dallas Post which consists of Army Corp of
Engineering and companies that do business with them.  The mission of
the Society of American Military Engineers is to promote and facilitate
engineering support for national security by developing and enhancing
relationships and competencies among uniformed services, public and
private sector engineers, and related professionals.  One of the goals
is to encourage students to become engineers.

 

Here is the link to the National SAME web site for the construction
camps:  http://posts.same.org/camps/2008/.  Attached is a document that
tells about the camps.  The camps are for current High School seniors,
juniors and sophomores. Doug Clemons went to the Air Force Camp a number
of years ago and had a great time.  I have also attached an application
for the SAME Dallas Post scholarship.  Anyone who is interested in
engineering is a prime candidate.  Neither of these opportunities
entails in any way a commitment to the Military.

scholarships:  one is for incoming freshman and the other is for
returning students.  Mrs. Dougherty is the President of this chapter and
can answer any questions.
