Greetings all.

Any troops scouting program is only as strong as its leadership. I
personally have been with the troop going on our third year. I have
witnessed a lot of changes and know that this troop is devoted to the true
spirit of scouting. The adult leadership in this troop strives to give the
boys the tools necessary to lead themselves and these young men never cease
to amaze me.

I would like to take a moment and THANK all those individuals who are
stepping up to help create this awesome scouting program and ask that you
thank them too when you next see them. We have several parents that invest
a great deal of time and energy. And not only parents are contributing.
Here's a special SHOUT OUT to our recent Eagle Scouts that continue to serve
in the troop along with parents whose sons have long since left the troop to
pursue college and a life of their own and even one uncle that I know of.
Without them, the program would not be what it is today.

Please keep an eye on the Get Involved tab of the website for opportunities,
big and small, to help our boys develop their own quality scouting program.
A program where they can learn the skills and values that drew us to
scouting to begin with. Boys who have parents that are involved, even in
the smallest of roles, tend to take full advantage of the program and become
more active themselves.

If you are interested in even a small role in the troop, please cocntact me.
It can be as simple as helping a scout coordinate the agenda for Court of
Honor or teaching a merit badge to being the Fundraising Chair or
cooridinating various events all the way to serving as an Assistant
Scoutmaster.

I will be happy to answer any questions you have so let me know if you are
interested.
